1,920 tickets. 1,800 devotional candles. Thousands of programs. And three days. This is what goes into the College's beloved annual "Carols and Lights" Service. This is the service's 39th year, and as tradition holds, it will be held in Lorimer Chapel on Friday night, December 5, and again on Saturday afternoon and night, December 6.
As the lights came up to reveal a stage full of eccentrically dressed Broadway Music Revue (BMR) cast members, I was immediately captivated by their energy. From November 20-22, BMR premiered their fall show in the Pugh Center to jam-packed, eager audiences.

In the spring I will be studying abroad at St. Andrews in Scotland, and one of the most thoughtful and observant people I have ever met, Kris Miranda, will be the editor of this page. For the past year and a half as the Opinions Editor, I have been forced to listen and as a result, I have been forced to change.
There's nothing like the Holiday season. From "Black Friday" up through the end of December, stores are filled with sales, and commercials that reflect the seemingly never-ending holiday season. Never wanting to miss an opportunity, the money-hungry movie industry fills the shelves with holiday films for eager shoppers and moviegoers.
A 3-1 record so far, with the only loss coming by one point, is a good season start for the Colby women's basketball team. The team now looks to build upon its early success through the beginning of games against fellow New England Small School Athletic Conference members.
